Enhancing digital education infrastructure with the iit’s tailored co-creative services for Southeast European universities and research institutions

DEEPEN offers tailored co-creative services to Southeast European universities and research institutions to enhance digital education infrastructure, align them with EU policies, and strengthen research and academic excellence to support their integration into the European educational and research ecosystem.

Higher education and research institutions in Southeast Europe (SEE) face the dual challenges of aligning with EU standards and rapidly adapting to digital advancements in education and research. With DEEPEN, we provide guidance to universities, academies, funding bodies, and other stakeholders in research and education to support the development of digitally enabled higher education and research institutions – ready to contribute to the European Research Area (ERA).

DEEPEN is a joint project between the iit (Institute for Innovation and Technology, Berlin, Germany) and WPZ Research GmbH (Vienna, Austria). DEEPEN draws on the expertise of over a hundred dedicated und experienced researchers, policy advisors and higher education specialists.
